We are so happy to announce that Brazen can get back to doing what we do best, your hair.
You, dear client, have been so attentive to us and the state of Brazen’s reopening we are sure you are already familiar with some of the following information. But we are going to put it out there once again in long form to make it clear what expectations you should have of us as your professional hairdresser and what we expect from you in order to get every one of us back to feeling great about your hair. This is a lot of information, please take the time to read. It is important to us that you know that we came to our decisions with sound reasoning.
Salons are recommended to have one person per 150 square feet and to keep a minimum of six feet between styling stations. Well, you’ve all been inside Brazen and with a grand total of 306 square feet, you can see that we need to make a temporary schedule change to make the actual environment suit the new required working environment. So for the time being Brazen can only have one client and one hairdresser in the business at any given time. To adjust for the lowered capacity we’ve increased our business hours. Brazen will be open seven days a week and has the new daily hours of 9am to 9pm.
You may notice we have increased the duration of most service times because we know you all need a little more than the usual timing to get back to the usual hair do. And we need more time between guests to properly sanitize the space before the next customer is allowed in. This also reduces the quantity of people we can see on any given day, please be patient with us and we try to follow the rules and see you all as soon as we are able.
And now masks. Yes we will all be wearing face masks the entire duration of every service, stylist and customers alike. No exceptions. We recommend our clients bring a disposable mask for themselves, one that no one will feel bad about throwing away if it gets hair color on it during the shampooing out process. The mask must be the behind-the-ear type for guests not the tie-behind-the-head kind. We can’t work on your hair with those ties in the way.
We will be taking client temperatures at the beginning of each appointment with a digital read, no-touch thermometer and if any client has a reading of 100.4 or above, we will kindly ask you to reschedule your visit for another day. Better yet, if you or anyone in your COVID bubble is symptomatic please cancel and come back when everyone is recovered. Don’t wait for us to be the “bad guy” in this scenario.
At this time we can only take care of clients with a previously scheduled appointment, which means we are not available for “walk-ins” until after the phases of reopening are complete. Please don’t bring a buddy hoping we can squeeze them in along with your services and time slot.
Also, only clients receiving services should be in Brazen while we are working on you. The only exception is if you, the client needs assistance in getting yourself into and around Brazen. No bringing Grandma or your BFF to keep you company. We have plenty to do and talk about to keep you entertained, plus your phone. Text the Brazen phone number to tell us you have arrived and we will text you back when we have completed our clean-up and are ready for you to enter. 571 732-3669
We have no restrictions as to what particular hair services we may provide or a time limit to do such services in. So we won’t require you to pre wash your hair unless you want to. Or no need to skip out on blow out if you want us to make your style last a few days longer. We will do as many of the hair services as you feel comfortable having done and we won’t be offended if you want to get out of the space as soon as possible.
We will be opening up the online scheduler option at midnight tonight, Friday May 29th.
